A HUM IN THE ROOM is a visual piece composed with 496 photographs deconstructing the movements of a dancer; each frame is laid out on the canvas while at the same time performing as motion.
All the images used for this project are photographs taken of “real” subjects/objects/manifestations. The work is assembled through an analog process that includes the elaboration of systems to facilitate the sequencing of thousands of photographs. These images are used to compose and reconstruct fictional timeframes that alter and challenge the normative visuality of time-based perception.
