Cymatics

This project was created with a series of photographs capturing the patterns generated by the vibrations of a 13Hz, 15Hz and 17Hz  sinusoidal wave on water. This manifestation has been rearranged in a way that is perceptible for the human eye.

All the images used for this project are photographs taken of “real” subjects/objects/manifestations. The work is assembled through an analog process that includes the elaboration of systems to facilitate the sequencing of thousands of photographs. These images are used to compose and reconstruct fictional timeframes that alter and challenge the normative visuality of time-based perception.
